Should I sell this, and buy this?
I currently have a Maxon OD9 (TubeScreamer), bought directly from Analogman with the Silver Mod, which helps decrease the mid hump...Stock true bypass, cost me $205...I mean its a REALLY nice boutique type TubeScreamer pedal...

Soapbar tonality for a J6 Washburn?
[COLOR=White]I feel fortunate to have two very nice exceelent conditon Gibsons. A 1950 ES150 and a 1956 ES225TDC . The tone from these have created a benchmark for my ears on the tone. Original soapbars rule in my book.
So my question. I recently purchase a nice Washburn quot;WES MONTGOMERYquot; J6N maple body . Will changing to PHAT CATS do that much for creating a similiar Gibson vintage tone ? Do capacitors or pots need to be changed?

Can new pups save my Strat?
'92 American Strat with maple neck, and I just can't seem to get this thing to rock. Looking for classic, tasteful distortion (think Heart / Benatar / maybe Donnas) as well as a little bit of the current harder sound occasionally (think P.O.D.). I don't want any of that quot;quackquot; or quot;glassquot;, but I realize that's what a Strat is for....
