okay well i am kinda curious if there are any pots that i can buy that would work similar to a 5-way selector switch so that i wouldnt need knobs on my guitar i could use like 2-4 switches with the highest volume / tone at one end of the switch and the lowest at the other. i hope this makes sence ;( if not thanks in advance anyway reason im asking is because i ordered a custom body core and only had a small electronics cavity drilled out but im thinking about using active pickups which would require 4 knobs and 2 batteries and i dont think im gonna have room for all of that maybe if i had some selector-switch type things i could mount them kinda right ontop of eachother and save a little space.

Review of Schaller Mini Locking Tuners
I got my Mini Locking Schaller tuners yesterday for my OLP MM1 Axis, installed them, and have been playing non stop. These are incredible! They fit perfect with my old tuners, even the hole for the screw. These are the Chrome set one's and are very smooth when tuning. I've used Sperzel tuners on one guitar for over a year and these are a million times better and stay in tune much better. Now this guitar has a Vintage trem on it and the reason I wanted these tuners is because I use that trem like a Floyd and the stock tuners were horrid for this. I'm excited, with these schallers I can dive bomb away and do whatever the heck I want and the guitar will NEVER go out of tune. I'm loving these and would highly suggest them to anyone looking for perfect tuning stability.

Mallory caps. Compared to Hovland.
I bought a bunch of caps from Blackrosecustoms. I find that the orange drops are fatter but more brittle and loos sounding. The Hovland are the quickest in resonse and most transparent. The Mallory seems to be a bit compressed and smaller sounding although very good sounding. What are your thoughts? I need oppinions to make my decision. I compared .022 on the Mallory and .023 on the orange drops and the Hovland. My favorite value was the .033 from Sprague but I wonder if Hovland or Mallory would be better in .033. Not sure if they even make them in that value. Anyone know? Thanks

Help needed wiring SD PUPs
I have nearly finished building my own guitar, I purchased seymour PUPS
jazz for the neck, Seth for the bridge. I thought I had the schematic untill I stripped the jazz wires. This one has four wires. I was planning a simple 3 way switch with individual Vol/Tone for each PUP. After looking at some of the other schematics on Seymours web site, I think I have a wiring plan.

Case shopping...
Well, I've been surfing around trying to find a hard case for the strat I just built. I want to get something nice for it, plush interior, tolex outside, etc. but I just can't find many places besides MF, AMS, and the like to get 'em. I checked Gamp;G's website, but it's pretty bare bones. Anyone have some links I should check out?

Duncans on a Double Humbucker Strat
I have decided to put s on my American Series Fender Strat HH. I play mostly rock-n-roll, blues, metal, and classical. Any suggestions for neck and bridge pickups would be helpful. Since my guitar has the S-1 switching, will the s allow the multiple pick up configurations like the original pickups?

Maple vs. Padouk
What's the real-world tonal difference between these two woods? The Warmoth site states that Padouk's tone is quot;similar to maplequot; but that doesn't tell me what's different. Anyone know?
