What's the real-world tonal difference between these two woods? The Warmoth site states that Padouk's tone is quot;similar to maplequot; but that doesn't tell me what's different. Anyone know?

bump...

It is abit between maple and rosewood, very snappy and have good solid lows, feels extremely nice, alittle more warm than maple.

The only guitar body I've seen made out of Padouk were the Nuno N4's from Washburn. Does anyone know why it's not a more popular body wood?

Because it is really not different from maple, it is actually more fun as a neck.
There is sounds phenomonal.
And the feel of the wood is very very good.
