I have nearly finished building my own guitar, I purchased seymour PUPS
jazz for the neck, Seth for the bridge. I thought I had the schematic untill I stripped the jazz wires. This one has four wires. I was planning a simple 3 way switch with individual Vol/Tone for each PUP. After looking at some of the other schematics on Seymours web site, I think I have a wiring plan.
Connect the red and white wires and insulate them, connect the green and shield wires and connect to ground, connect the black wire to the volume pot.
Is this right?
Yes, this is right!
You can use the red/white wire for splitting; if you use individual tone pots, there is a mod how you can split a humbucker WITHOUT using a push-pull-pot or an extra switch.
Spin-A-Split? Great mod but you do have to give up one pot for it.

Don't know if you mean the same mod, but i mean this:
Tone pot on 0-9 = Humbucker mode (and still a tone pot), Tone pot on 10 = single-Coil mode.
No, that's definitely not Spin-A-Split.
