Hi I am after a new single coil bridge pup for my alder/ maple neck tele. Something that has more bite and hi end (more edgier) than the stock pup and is very clear not to thin sounding in the mids and lows but retains the vintage tele twang. I really want it to cut through the mix.

can a mic go bad?
ive got an sm57, and im not going to lie its not in perfect shape (i think at least). while it has never really taken a beating, it has been dropped once or twice (not to high) and has been hit a few times. also i sing into it for demo recordings (no filter on it, sing straight up). my question it, cna the mic start sounding differently?
