By small I mean 15- 40 watts 1x12. The only one I know of is the Crate V-Series VFX5112. I'd like something smaller but if there isn't anything else, I'll probably go with that.

drop tuning issues
I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio. At the moment I haven't made any modifications to it. I want to drop tune down to C# or C. I have a set of D'Adarrio heavy gauge strings ready to go (.012 .016 .020 .032 .042 .054). Will I have any trouble fitting the heavier gauge strings in the nut? I know intonation will definitely be an issue. Any tips on that besides the usual procedure of correction intonation?

It's coming along.
They thought I was crazy. Walked in, grabbed an epiphone special with horrible action, and left with it.

Send and return socket questions
I was wondering if you guys could explain to me how send and recieve sockets work when you want to do something like using another external preamp, and just skipping the internal preamp, basically muting the pre-amp. Or something l if I can put my guitar through my ds-2 and use that just as a pre-amp to my power amp section in my amp? Another thing I want to know is which sockets I can just plug/unplug a cable in whenever I want on standby, on, or off.

APH-1, Seth Lover, or '59n in bridge? Opinions
I just found this forum and I love it. I believe the APH-1 is what I'm looking to place in my Steinberger. It only has the bridge position available as there is no neck position for a pickup. Most of the reviews I've read say that it is good for neck but not much said for the bridge position. Do you think it would be a decent pickup there or should I go with the neck model in the bridge position? I love an Allan Holdsworth type tone (singing sustain), although I've heard he actually uses a pickup that is closest to a '59 neck in the bridge and not his own signature humbucker(too hot). I just love the sound clips I've heard of the APH-1 as well as the the SethLover. Right now I am confused whether to get the APH-1, the Seth Lover, or '59n. Any opinions would be appreciated. RG = Soloist/Dinky clone?
I noticed recently that dinkys are very similar in shape to my rg - (yeah yeah don't laugh =p) - did ibanez basically rip off the dinky? seems like the major difference is the all access joint as opposed to a tapered neck heel. Oh, and the horns are a little more pointy =)
