Is it True that MAC is the Way to Go when Wanting to Record via Computer?

Finally
After considering a new LTD EC-400 ATS or going all the way and getting the Eclipse II with JB/59 pups, I've struck gold. I just won an ebay auction for the ESP Eclipse with the duncans. This thing is going to be awesome. But now I fear for my own life, I have to tell the wife.

How often do you change pickups?
Come on I know that there are those of you who are constantly experimenting like I do! So how often do you put a new set of pickups in your guitar? Or at least change magnets? Have you gone broke yet ?

Best Bridge Pickup For ....
I want to know what BRIDGE PICKUP OF ANY BRAND does RHYTHM, LEAD, and has a nice BIG SOUND for country, blues, hard rock, metal etc. It has to have fullness and clarity, sound good when in Parallel or Split, and work well in LES PAULS with OLD MARSHALLs as well as newer amps like Bogners, Riveras, and Diezels *which are all Marshall-y in their own right. It has to be a pickup that records well when MIC'd, I don't care about the POD for this comparison (please no POD comments, I own one, you don't have to sell me on it).

Hardware
Does anyone know where to get a Gotoh 1055 at a good price. I just got a real nice Mexican Fender body and I want to put a new tremolo on it.

I can't help it... I'm addicted to Telecasters
from : localhost/what I played the other day at Guitar Center and it blew me away . I've come to the conclusion that Fender just makes some absolutely brilliant guitars (I know, it's not really that new for most people ). I don't necessarily always like the shape or feel of some of them (most of the strat necks pretty much blow in terms of comfort), but wow, there are some amazing guitars out there for the cash.

New Schecter finally! PICS
Oh yeah, my new Schecter Damien 6 series, only 300 bucks. It has AMAZING action, the factory setup was high but after lowering it, I actually don't think there is a point where it will start buzzing, immaculant fretwork everywhere. The inlays are just a tad crappy looking but I think it's all the black on this guitar. The EMG's actually aren't that bad, kinda low output but are very clear sounding and don't really sound sterile, I'll have to wait until I play it in practice to really say though. Overall I give this guitar a 9 and for the price, you can't beat it. PERIOD.

LOOK! i have a question about recording.
ok. so my band has a pretty good recording setup, and a guy who knows a lot about computers, and recording on programs, and stuff like that. the problem is, we are not too good at recording vocals. our vocals sound pretty bad sometimes. we do a lot of harmonies also. so what are some pointers to make our vocals sound as professional as possible? maybe we can get this up to vault status....
