Differences between Les Paul and Les Paul Junior?
Hey guys anyone know the differences between these two models? Specifically, I'm referring to the older ones made in the 50's. I've been looking for a good project guitar, and I came across this:

need help choosing tubes for my mesa
Well, as most of you know, my head is in at the tech now. I just got off the phone with him and he said it is comming up in line pretty soon(today or tomorrow night-ish) and he said if he would retube it it would be with Electro-Harmonics 6L6's, but if i wanted to I could buy tubes and bring them in or have him order tubes for me(depending on what brand of tubes). I'm leaning twards the Hi-gain retube kit(jj/telsa) from eurotubes strongly at this point. He said he would check the amp over and just hold off on retubing it for now.
I would call him to order the tubes or have him but the EH 6l's in.

The 10K PAF Militia
First off, I'm one of those screaming lunatics who wants the 10K PAF. Don't tell me about the S-Deco or any other CS offerings because I don't want to pay CS prices. It seems that there is a war brewing between guys like me, and the guys who are annoyed by guys like me (and Evan is definately on your side).

jazz model neck, dd in the bridge on a Gamp;L strat
has anyone here used this combo, i play rock, funk, jazz, etc.... i need an all around flexable combination, i wan't a hard hitting rock sound, and a smooth clean sound, do you guys think this combo will get the job done? i have an alder wood Gamp;L legacy, i am thinking duncan dis. on the bridge because it is gutsy, i tried the jb and it had alot of high's but not enough lows, so i now am thinking DD, is this a good solution?, and i wan't a jazz model on the neck for funk and jazz, i am loooking for a warm smooth tone, i tried the 59 and it was warm on the high end, but in my opinion had to much natural distortion on the low end, and didn't clean up well, so is the jazz model a good choice for what i wan't on the neck, warm tone, clean lows with no crudyness?

Susti-tube from Groove tubes...
I am about to replace my amp tube and I discover this tube conversors from Groove Tubes, the SUBSTI-TUBE 928-PR. You can use EL84 instead of 6L6 in you amp. I'll reduce the power from 50Watts to 20-25Watts and change the working from class A/B to A.
