Hi, today I bought a Duncan Distortion pickup for my guitar. I fitted it in and it works perfect. Sound AMAZING! lol. but I've noticed a few things that are a bit weird.
First of all, when the amp is set clean, my stock neck pickup is louder than my bridge pickup. but when the amp is on distortion, they are exactly the same volume.

So i got a jb in the bridge of my charvel (bolt on, poplar body, maple neck,floyd)
Now what would work in the neck?

Does anyone know what's the advantage/disadvantage of using maple laminates in guitar bodies?

Hey everyone I am looking for a second amp to complement my Plexi clone….For me the best tone ever comes from a plexi. So tone wise I am satisfied with the tone I get from my plexi, Cab and speakers. I need another amp that can have good cleans and good OD….but most important that be in the same territory as the plexi with regards as vintage sounding….Can be a single channel………

Okay we have two music stores where I live - one charges full list price for everything - and the other has nothing over $99 (kind of cool if you need an entry level guitar)

He's the 2nd guitarist in Oasis - very skilful bloke. I've caught glimpses of his axe, and it's like a firebird... only not.... more like a strat shape. Also, I've seen him with one that has 3 p90s, and one with 2 humbuckers....
