I've been quietly looking around for an amp in the 'marshall' food group to add to the collection, and after a few days of playing my friend's soldano, I'm thinking of getting one. It just so happens that my local store has a secondhand Hot Rod 50 in stock. Who out there uses/has tried this amp? -i'd like to hear what you think of it.

and what does it do? i really have no clue.

As well as being a guitarist, I fancy myself a bit of a tennis hack. Prolly cause I use the racket as a makeshift guitar instead of working on my backhand. But I digress.

im sure everyone has their own opinions.and im sure its been debated alot..but as a LEAD guitarist..what are my pros / cons of going with a floyd over a hardtail or hardtail over a floyd ?

Well, I've done it again. Told some folks I'd quot;wire them upquot;, then lost track of the thread. Had a couple of quot;thingsquot; going on at home, not the least of which is hitting some chunk of something in the road and punching a hole in my oil pan. Thats the oil drain plug.
Hopefully, I got it shut down in time.

Will that new seymour pedal Tweak Fuzz sfx02 work as a pickup booster and as a fuzz box? Or does a guy gotta have both cuz they just ain't the saime things.

Which Fender Champs are the best for recording? Which are a steal as far as price goes these days.... How bad were the mid 80's 25 watt Champs that had red knobs... They were still tube champs i think... Are there any differences between the Silverfaced 70's and the late 60's Blackface models.... What Champ amps do any of you own?

I want to buy a tube amp but since I live in an apt I need to find something that works with headphones. I looked at the Peavey CLassic 30 and the Marshall DSL401 and they didn't mention anything about headphones. You guys have any ideas?

I`m just a bedroom jammer and somtimes I feel my tube amp isn`t cutting it for that situation , plus I never usually turn it up loud to get the power tubes cooking. I was wondering what solid state amps(w/Speaker Ext.) are out there that might work for me as far as a good clean and good distortion. I know I can`t expect miracles and find a solid state that sounds like a hot rodded plexi or 5150.
