Rilo Kiley = great clean sound...any idea how I can?
Hey, I've lately gotten into this excellent band called Rilo Kiley. Their newest album, More Adventerous, contains the song quot; It's a Hitquot;, which can be heard on lauch.com and you can get sound-clips of the album here:

tele for sale
this was one of my projects while i have been down from the D.U.I.
the neck might be fender, squire, mighty mite, or god knows what, but plays like butter. it has a maple board. it currently has no headstock decal but i have some fender vintage style tele decals laying around and i will put one on at no extra charge.the body is definately not fender, but is of great quality and is 1 solid peice of maple. i stained the body with heart rosewood stain and the top is finished gold with red metal flake flames. at first i did this like the paul i listed until i found the colors i wanted then i did an actual paint job on it. only one problem. after i painted it, my dad came over while i was gone and went in the shop and picked it up and got a couple of prints on it which he then tried to rub out, (thanks dad). so the finnish does have a couple of flaws on it, but i was just too lazy to start all over again since they are not too noticeable from 3 feet away. the pups are stock fenders that i bought off ebay. the guitar plays and sounds pretty awesome. it will come with one of the deluxe heavy gig-bags from musicians friend. i am gonna start this one at $225.00 and feel free to haggle or make a trade offer. shipping will be actual cost by the provider of your choice.

Pups for a Jaguar Baritone
I've been playing with my buddy's Jaguar Baritone ( he doesn't like it) that I would trade for if I had a plan for different pups that I thought would give it some more of the something it seems to lack. I know that's a really crappy description, but it clearly is missing something , but because it's a baritone it's difficult to decide just what that is. The stock pups are described by Fender as quot;Special Design MIJ Single-Coil Jaguar Pickups (Neck amp; Bridge)quot; The controls are as follows (“Lead” Circuit: 2-Position Tone Switch, Volume, Tone, “Rhythm” Circuit: volume, Tone, Circuit Selector Switch ). Alder body Rosewood on Maple neck.
It's got some twang, which I like, maybe what it's lacking is testicles.

How do the L-500XL and Dimebucker compare SOUND wise?
I love Dime's playing but im not really trying to get the quot;Dimebag soundquot;, i just want to get a great pickup. I hear these are both that, great i mean. Yes i have heard the Damageplan CD and a lot of old Pantera but that really doesnt help comparing them, there are TONS of other factors to consider. Has anyone used both? Can you tell me how they differ in sound?

Sudden pickup death ?
So, I've just restrung my 1995 Epi Firebird and I'm tuning it up, when suddenly I notice that I've got no sound in the neck and middle positions. Last time I used the neck pickup it was fine, and the guitar has had only moderate use since then. I've taken off the scratchplate and backplate and I can't see any broken solder joints, and the switch still seems to be working, as the background hum in the neck position changes when I move the volume and tone controls. I also get the impression that the neck pickup sounds less bright than it did, but that might just be the trauma talking... I'm thinking that the only reasonable explanation is sudden neck pickup failure, but that seems strange... I'd be grateful for any ideas you guys might have.
