I'm probably going to just end up buying a set of the CS '69s this weekend, but before I put down the green I thought I'd check the options
Are the Duncan SSL-1s similar? They appear to be oriented more towards the older '50s type vintage sound. I'm looking for the super clean late '60s style sound.

wiring for a Gamp;L
I have just purchased a Gamp;L Legacy off Ebay. I believe it has SD vintage alnico staggered pups fitted, and wired as on a traditional strat ie no tone control for bridge pup. Is there any reason that I can't rewire the guitar to the PTB setup that is standard on Gamp;L guitars. I don't know whether the impedence of the SD pups differ from Gamp;L's or if the pots are the same value, or even if I need to add capacitors to the circuit to get the PTB circuit. Also, would I still be able to fit a treble bleed mod to this setup up?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Strap button came loose...
I've noticed that the strap button behind the bridge is extremely loose. I just have to pull very slightly on it and the screw comes right out.... the place where it goes in is almost completely stripped.

Tonal Centers
Just random....
If I were to play a melody/solo and base it on a A Lydian (A B C D E F G A), how would I emphasize on A as the tonal center of that mode and not C considering it is a mode of C. Furthermore, this line has no chords playing behind it to use as an outline for anything.

New Tune
My tele has greenish brown strings on it.. oh well, it needed to be played nonetheless
The intro parts are the tele, with a bg1400 in the bridge and a strat hot stack in the neck position. The LP with the Custom comes in on the solo parts.

Kramer Dual Rail
Anyone else love this pickup? I got one off ebay awhile back, put it in the neck position and BAM - great sound for blues and such. I find myself opting for it over my bridge more and more. Am I crazy or is it really a good pickup? I noticed they come standard on some pretty cheap/mid-priced Kramer guitars (see which is kind of surprsing to me.

Stainless steel frets? what do you guys think?
I have them on my Parker. Silky smooth and DO NOT wear. I'm not sure if I like them or not because they do make the guitar a whole lot brighter and the frets quot;slipperierquot; because there's little resistance when bending and such. I'm considering having them done on my custom strat project neck but I'm undecided on it.
