It seems that the vast majority of the boutique amps are based on a power tube other than the 6L6. Who makes the best 6L6 boutique amp, in your opinion?

I bought the Iron Maiden Rock in Rio dvd last weekend. I liked Daves sound that he had comin out of his maple board strat that had all rail pups in it. Were these Duncan hot rails or cool rails?

Well on the JCF forums I got pretty much put down because I wanted to tweak the truss rod (not satisfied with the relief and buzzing) while I only have been playing for about 3 months (February).
The thing is I really want to be able to know my guitar and to correct her problems for free, or with new tools. I'm a student in foreign country and I do not have the money for a guitar tech trip all the time I change strings.

I'm really digging the sound clips this website has provided, but does anyone have a link to A/B different wiring configurations? Parallel out of phase vs. coil cut and whatnot?
