Does anybody know what pickups prince uses for his tele?

I haven't the slightest idea which model pups he uses.

My jaw was on the floor for about a week after I saw his HoF induction solo during quot;While My Guitar Gently Weepsquot;. Not because it was the greatest thing I'd ever heard, but just because it came from a HIM. He absolutely stole the show, IMO.

I know what you mean, he has a great stage presence and the skill to match it. I always wondered what pickups he used after hearing the solo in 'Computer Blue'

He definitely stole the show there. I only wish he would have jammed with ZZ Top - it would've been cool to see him rock w/ Billy G.

I've seen him live he definitely rips it up on guitar (as well as bass/keys etc..) Some of the best live guitar work I've ever witnessed. His live solo on Purple Rain literally made my hair stand on end. A true professional - it was a definite humbling experience - I left thinking, quot;I call myself a musician?quot; - hehe

No idea what pups he uses. He goes thru lots of effects - his other gutars sound cool too (the custom deal-ies with the big long curly horn and the ones shaped like his quot;symbolquot;) Those seem to have some kind of active pup in them.

That DVD of him live in Vegas is totally cool!

Prince uses an EMG 81 and EMG SA single coil in most of his guitars. As far as his Tele, it's a Hohner tele copy. On Purple Rain he used it stock- his producer hated how noisy it was, it supposedly sounded horrible, but Prince liked it. I have no idea if he has kept it stock, but I wouldn't be suprised if he has an EMG tele set in it, especially when he tours.

I saw him up close in concert. Most of his tone comes from Boss pedals, he has an extensive pedal board.

He's a phenominal and underrated player. His concert was the best I've ever seen.

Prince kicks ass! Best live show I have ever seen, hands down!

As for his Tele...it is a Honer copy with a maple neck AND body. In the early days it was stock then he used EMG's for a very short time and now he uses Fender Noiseless, and ha says he loves them.

Uh, producer? Prince signed with Warner Bros. at 17, and he has ALWAYS produced his own music. Check his first LP: quot;Produced, composed, and performed by Princequot;.

Unless you mean the movie producer.
