This one....
I believe it's totally hollow but I can't remember. Anyone know if it's semhollow or totally hollow?

Anyone have experience with them? If so, how are they cranked with a lot of gain? Do they squeal or are they controllable? I love the guitar and if it's semihollow, it will pose no issue. It's the complete hollowbody that kind of scares me...

Butch, they are totally hollow. Fantastic resonance and wonderfully comfortable. I wish I could be more help... I know that had I plugged it in I would have walked out of GC with it.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I checked one out as well as I could for having my family there with me and I thought I saw that it was totally hollow. I played it through a Hot Rod Deluxe and it was just awesome. I heard no squealing from it at all; however, I didn't put any real gain to it. I just used some of the amp's overdrive.

I played one ages ago and thought it sounded very nice, especially on the neck pickup. I only played it clean though so I can't comment on high gain squeal

AWESOME guitars. I was very impressed with the one I played, however I like the C/SH-1 much better, string through body, no acoustic pickup, semi hollow. I notice the EA has a slightly fatter body so it might be completely hollow.

Don't worry about squeal, Butch. I have an Epi Alleykat (also fully hollw) with a zebra JB at the bridge and have had no problems with unwanted feedback at volume.

One of my favorite sounds to use with this guitar is a Hamp;K Triamp on the lead channel combined with a Soldano SLO, both running some pretty serious gain. The noise gate on my GT-8 might help with this a bit, but if you use some common sense, you should be able to get away with lots of gain and volume in a live setting with no problems.

Cool... Thanks for the response....

Hey Butch, my buddy Keith has one with Phatcats in it and it is wonderful! He's also had a JB/Jazz set in it and that was a great combo as well. The Piezo works very well and gives a good, true accoustic tone. It's an extreemly comfortable guitar to play, perfect fit and finish on Keith's E/A.

Very cool...

I was also wondering about the piezo quality.... I read where they upgraded and it made a huge improvement. I read where you can plug your Y-cable in and have one side fgo to your amp and the other to the PA and switch via a minitoggle. Very cool....

I also understand that the piezzo can be blended into the mix with the humbuckers. Very cool. It is much thicker than the C/SH-1, but it's not uncomfortable.

Butch, where in the Nati did you play one? Only place I ever saw one was in GC Columbus. I've really been wanting to plug one in and really give it a whirl (just need to make sure and leave all forms of credit at home).
