i got some pickups for my paul, duncan 59's for the neck and bridge... they sound pretty good but in the middle position i loose a bit of bass... it's doesn't sound bad but it seems a little odd... i tried flipping one of the pickups to see if it was wired backwards but it sounds the same... i've read a little about flipping the magnet in pickups 'cause sometimes the polaritys are reversed but i would think that seymour duncan designed these pickups to go together so they should sound right... i don't know, maybe it's the way they're suposed to sound but i'm not real sure... any ideas?

Except for the added range and tuning stability of the Wilkinson trem, are there any differences with the Schaller-Fender trems on American Standard Strats?

Hello, I'm currently planning an overhaul on the Ibanez Strat in my sig and I was wondering what would make a really good bridge humbucker. I'm planning on just using a bridge humbucker with a volume and tone pot. The guitar is a bright one to start off with, vintage trem, maple board, alder body, so I'd like tog et something to tame that a little bit. It would be nice to get something med-high output knowing that the natural clarity of the guitar will pull notes out of everywhere. I'd love to get some bareknuckles (as induced by Twilight) but money doesn't permit me to do so. The Dimarzio Air Zone is on the top of my list right now, I'm also considering things such as the Breed Neck model, Air Norton, and Anderson pickups. The only thing from the duncan line I can see going in there to hold down the brightness may be the Invader, but i want to maintain clear dynamics.

Here's my track for the sd user cd. It doesn't have bass yet but I'll do that tomorrow. Let me know if it clips at all- it hits red once or twice while playing but I can't hear any audible clipping on my speakers or headphones. Also any comments on the mix and song in general are greatly appreciated.

Here's a little jam I did. I've had lots of work piled on me the last two weeks, and I needed to jam a little. It's two takes. Both improvised. I quite liked some of the stuff I played, will probably record a better version when I get time.
