I'm GASSING again, this time I have a strat in my head. I want the guitar to have a balls to the wall, EVH tone from the bridge, so I need to decide between an HSS model or a regualr Strat. What's the diff beween the stacked single coils like the Lil '59 and JB Jr and the actual Humbucking versions? And is there still a big diff quality/soundwise btw the Mexican/Japanese Strats and the American versions?

Well not too long ago my crappy old DOD wah pedal died (can't complain, I got it free). It was kind of fun to mess around with but I never really got any cool tones. Well today I was over at my best buddies house playing his american strat through a Dunlop Hendrix Fuzz Wah and my Green Line overdrive pedal and it sounded really cool and was a lot of fun to mess around with. What wahs do you reccomend for me, I would like somthing that it good for ****ed wah positions and doesn't have much growl. Wahs I currently have in mind are: Vox Wah (possibly the McCoy reissue if I have the cash) Dunlop Crybaby Classic with fasal, the HBE wah and the Budda Wah. On the cheaper side I am considering a Crybaby or a Hendrix Crybaby. Sadly the only wahs in town that I can try are the Vox, the HBE, the Budda and the Hendrix Crybaby. Any good wahs I havn't thought of?

Can anyone tell me where I can purchace the black cloth protective tape that wraps pickups? I have only found it at stew mac but it is a back order item. I need it sooner.

how much does the shape of the wood effectthe guitars performance, causei have sanded it down and even though its smooth if its uneven wil it effec the guitars sound a performance a lot.

I'm starting to get sick of high output pups that are extremely dark from being overwound. I want a nice bright paf output bridge pickup to go in an all mahogony guitar with a maple top. I also want some nice punchy mids for leads, aswell as a tight low end. Lots of clarity too. I also prefer the dynamics of an Alnico 2 mag.

Never done this before. I want to do it myself, cos guy inthe shop said that installing 3 sss will cost 80 dollars...thats too much. I am going to spend 200 for the pups already.
Yjm neck, yjm midle, jb jr bridge. Can someone post scheme or something(easy to understand). And i want to wire dimarzios like in YJM STRAT.
