Here's my track for the sd user cd. It doesn't have bass yet but I'll do that tomorrow. Let me know if it clips at all- it hits red once or twice while playing but I can't hear any audible clipping on my speakers or headphones. Also any comments on the mix and song in general are greatly appreciated.

This track was also meant to have vocals but Tim has no internet right now(he just moved) so I tried to keep it interesting with some other stuff.

I uploaded an old version with a sample of the vocals for you doesn't have the chorus and I think he waaay oversung it(which is why they didn't get done yet) but it'll give you an idea.

Obviously you haven't read the rules.. You're only allowed to use SD pups for the songs, as far as I know.

Edit: quot;1. You must use a pickup.quot; I guess it's alright then, since it doesn't say you only need to use SD pups.

I'm a little worried about clipping with guitars that high though. I can't hear anything through my headphones but if you guys hear any top end fizz or clipping on this please be sure to tell me. I'll get bass done tomorrow and hopefully get a mix I'm completely satisfied with too. My ears must have been tired or something, the old mix doesn't cut it.

I must admit I quite enjoyed the track without vocals, and with vocals I enjoyed it even more, so I hope you'll get a good mix done before the SD cd comes out, since it diserves being on there.

EDIT: actually, on the new mix you made, it would be just as good as an instrumental I think. Very relaxing and almost kinda exotic music, with the special drums and all.

Thanks dude! I just found out there will be vocals on this afterall- just one part being fixed still. And I may end up just having the two versions since I can't really imagine keeping everything it has now plus vocals- there'd just be too much going on at once. Most likely the vocal version will be the one I send, and I'm hoping to send it off friday, maybe Saturday at the latest.
