Hey guys I'm wondering where one would place a noise gate in his/her signal path? This would be for both clean and distorted/overdrive with one or two effects in the loop of the amp.

and would like to know the differences, changes through years, good bad, etc. Thanks

I am wanting to change p/u's in my wolfgang. I never play it because I'm not impressed with the tone. I changed the p/u's about a year ago with dimarzio air zone and air norton. They sound really muffled and too much low end. It doesn't do harmonics and tap harmonics really well at all. I'm looking for something with good harmonics and cuts well. Someone at SD recommended a custom and a jazz neck. Any suggestions?

Any thoughts on this guitar?

NEEDED: BBQ NICKEL COVERED Bridge PUP

Just purchased a 97 Heritage H150 CM that comes woth the stock Schaller pickups. Does anybody have any experience with these in an LP style guitar? I presume they are vintage-y, perhaps a little hot vintage.

Anybody have any info on an all mahogany Martin D17 acoustic? I have been offered 1 in the UK in exchange for my '97 Strat plus. Any idea of reputation, sound, price etc?

I just blew the fuse in my Mesa Boogie Tremoverb combo for the second time in about 6 weeks. The first time it was a blown rectifier tube the caused the fuse to blow. I don't have a second fuse on hand so I can't check right now if it is the same problem. However, if it is what could be the possibly larger problem behind this?
I am running JJ E34L power tubes and JJ GZ34 rectifier tubes. However, I'm only running 2 power tubes and 1 recto tube (as opposed to the standard 4 and 2) at the recommendation of a Mesa tech to reduce the wattage from 100 to 50.
