Just purchased a 97 Heritage H150 CM that comes woth the stock Schaller pickups. Does anybody have any experience with these in an LP style guitar? I presume they are vintage-y, perhaps a little hot vintage.

Heritage offers upgrades to Duncans such as the 59's, Seths or the Antiquity's. Any thoughts or ideas? I play 80-90's alternative rock, Beatles and some Blues too.

I plan to give the stock pickups a good workout. I use a Rivera S120 amp, a Traynor YBA-1 and a Custom built 2X12 with Eminence Governors or a couple of Thiele 1X12's with EV's (the EVM 12L). I also have a Tweed Deluxe and Tweed Bassman I put together.

I've never used them, but I hear good things about them. Keep 'em in and give them a shot for a while.

I've got a 98 150, killer, killer guitar. The Schaller sound very similiar to a 59 but with more mids, they kind of remind me of a Joe Walsh tone.

I put an Alnico 2 Pro in the bridge slot, and a jazz in the neck slot on mine, I love them both, but will probalby try an A2P neck as well......oh yeah and I've got them in Dbl. Creme.
Luke

The only experience I've had with the pups is what I heard of Luke's before he swapped them out, so he's better information than I'd be. They sounded nice, though, from what I remember. Congrats on the new guitar. Not to try to hijack the thread, but what color is it?

My incoming H150 CM; a few pics:It is Antique CSB.

I love mine too ...

over time I'd guess you'll want to upgrade those pups ... to taylor the tone to your liking .. but those are not a bad start .. enjoy!
