I've only looked at 'em a few times..
What's the concensus?
I played one a couple of weeks ago and it sounded pretty nice. I thought it felt quot;less cheapquot; than the SG or the DC faded models, you know, it seemed to have a little bit more class than those other two. (not that cheap is bad or anything)
I'd considered socking some cash away for another lp studio or maybe an explorer, but being that I'm eye-balling a Traynor 50Blue the Faded V is definantly number 1 on my list for a low cost alternative.
Put me on the list as quot;very interestedquot; to hear what other people have to say about the V too!
I have one. It has your usual Gibson QC issues. It is a decent sounding guitar though!
I have a Epi Goth that I Ungothed. Got It real cheap (had the black paint off
B4 the UPS truck left my block) Painted it Honey amber,Put block inlay's in.
I couldn't resist... I had to put a Gibby TRC on it. I'm not crazy
about the Faded finish line. To me they are skipping a production step, And
covering it up with a marketing ploy. ( That's just how I see it)

Here ya go. i'll throw the bird in for bonus points. Thats pretty hot KMC!!!!!! I have my Faded stripped down and have had it close to ready for finishing for a long time. I may have to talk to you bro!!!!!!
Thanks for the input folks
KMC: For making an Epi into THAT gorgeous thing you get ultra mega bonus points.
Think I'll stop by GC this weekend and see how much they'll give me for the Jackson on a trade. I haven't had a V in prolly 15 years... I'm thinking the new Faded black (if I can find), and then drop in some nickel cover 59s or BB Pros. That will def look cool, and totally

It's not supose to? According to Epi's website. But YES, It's maple. Another case of Epi's dobious woods.
Epiphone neck material is mahogany...and set...
That honey goth is amazing dude, it totally owns gibsons.
I have to pimp mine, I just got my V yesterday and here's me posing with it at band practice hahaha: from : localhost/i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...04-05_0340.jpg

Thanks, The neck is set...But not mahogany? We already had a thread
on Epiphone's Very Questionable use of woods. I'd love to walk into Sam Ash
with a sand blaster and a Epi Rep. And listen to his explaination when it's
revealed that not all their guitars are made with the wood they advertise??
Hahaha, that's why some sound so different!

Haha...trying to look tough?! haha I wasn't lol I can be pretty evil looking; anyway.
They're like the same thing but the DV8r has a set neck and better pickups and the V-250 has a floyd copy and more inlayage haha. The jack is better on the DV8, it's the strat and not a straight like on the V series X_X oh well haha.
as for the necks, I looked up at epi's website and that's what it said so hahahaha.I need to work on the upper frets a bit because they're not exactly decent hahaha, it's funny how my 7 string has like great frets but above 20 on the v is all buzzy and nasty. It plays really quickly other than that.
