Thinking about getting one done on the old Nighthawk bridge pickup. I am working on an answer as to what kind of magnet is in there (I'm guessing A5). Is there any way to guage the magnet type if I can't get an answer? Can I get magnets changed or anything? I guess I could just do that myself before I send it. I can get this wound closely to the spec of any Duncan? I am wondering how close they can get this pickup to the desired spec, it is a doulbe slug pickup. They are pros, I guess they'll work it out. Thanks for any and all replies.

I asked about rewinding a pickup into an EVH. They can do it. I don't know about testing the magnet, but it might be a good idea to change the magnet yourself first before sending it, to save money. I imagine they can get the rest of the pickup close, since they can get the right wire gauge and amount of turns. The rest of the parts will probably pretty close to what they use, and if they're not, it will still sound good.

What does it run? $$
