ok this item is listed on ebay and i am interested in it.

Item number: 7367490514

the problem is that the guy doesnt list Paypal but wire transfer and some other thingy for payment.

i have never bought anything off of ebay before so can anyone tell me how to get one step closer to obtaining this item or if i should steer clear of it.i already messaged him and asked to pay through paypal but he hasnt responded yet.

any ideas?? cause this will probably get expensive

The guy has a pretty good rating, even though he has only 109 transactions so far. And he says he ships through UPS, they're very reliable. Wire transfer shouldn't be a problem within Europe. Be sure you ask for an IBAN- and BIC-number. If you have these, the transaction should be at no charge. If you DON'T supply those, there will be a charge, and you'll receive an angry email from the seller that he's received app. 15 euros short .

First of all NICE AMP!!!!! Second the user has been an eBay member since 2001 and has 99.1% positive feedback which is good. I personally always use PayPal for the convenience factor and the $1000 protection. I always get a little uneasy about wire transfers for some reason. Could just be me though.

I believe it says GErman only.

I bought a 100#8364; guitar from Germany and paid with it by bank transfer. The seller sent me his account details and I filled in an international transfer form with the help of the guy behind the counter. The commission fee was about 4#8364; and the payment took five days to clear. I imagine things might work much the same way throughout the Euro zone (UK banks seem to charge high commission fees for international transfers), but you should check with your bank.

P.S. Explain the nature of the transaction to the bank and ask if you can have any sort of protection or insurance in case of problems. I don't know if Paypal is much safer : I've only once had a problem on ebay, but Paypal only reimbursed me about 13 cents of the 20#8364; the unreceived item was worth.

so you guys think that giving this much money over an amp over Ebay is ok?

i mean could i send the money and not get anything in return?? is that possible??

thanks by the way.

Inside the EU, brank fraud is taken very seriously, I don´t think he´d wahnt to take that risk....... make sure you have the guy´s address, then send him the cash

If anything goes wrong after all, LMK.... I´ll probably be going up to Hamburg soon, and Hannover is on the way Originally Posted by tone?so you guys think that giving this much money over an amp over Ebay is ok?

This is of course always possible, with ANY transaction..... After all, you don´t need the internet to be scammed

Bottom line: if you don´t feel safe bidding, don´t bid.
