I've just taken a set of my trusty old Ernie Ball .10's off my Tele and stuck a set of D'addario .10's on for a change. My first impressions are that they seem very light in comparision, almost like Ernie Ball .09's, which got me thinking -

I love the feel of this axe but I'm just not happy with the pups. Its an american standard model with maple neck. Currently I'm playing it through a fender cyber twin se. I'm mostly a blues/ classic rock player. Usually I play Cream, Clapton, Knopfler, Bad Company, etc.. when we play live. What would be some possible pup combos to consider to put in this guitar?

I just installed one of these pups in the bridge position of my Fender Classic 60's Strat and put it infront of my Marshall TSL head with the gain on 10.

I currently have this wiring set up in my guitar:

from : localhost/got a bad headstock fix, but that's an insane price for a Heritage with Duncans in it.

I play a 57 reissue strat...feels great, and plays great. But my high E and B are always going out of tune. Even something as small as a full step bend will make them go flat. The guitar tech at my local store suggested that the string tree was the problem. Which makes complete sense, because when the strings go flat, I hear a high pitch creak.

Today I Pulled the Antiquity Texas Hot Custom out of the bridge in one of my main strats and went back to the Twangbanger...I felt lately,that the TH was a bit thin and lacked the mids and present tone of the TB...After installing the TB and getting it all setup,I began to realize how much better it makes this strat sound...I'm now just going to leave the TB in this guitar...It's mated with Surfers in the middle and neck and those will stay also....

John, could you car to post all the pedal mods you have avialible in either this thread or a new one. I'm sure it would help alot of people out, esp. if we got a skicky on it.

So I was hit by the Strat G.A.S this time, something about the simplicity of it and the sexy shape (The Black HH one on the Fender Site is beautiful).
