UGD Jam (2) Seymour and Val
Val does the first bit of soloing and then Seymour comes in with some really badass chops! Great blues rock, great tones.

Digitech Hot Head
I have listened to a few samples on the Digitech website and I quite like the sound. How much do these pedals usually go for, and are they any good?

ghs boomers...
Finally broke a string on my new schecter and realized I haven't bought replacement strings yet. I liked the feel and sound of the strings on there quite a bit better than the eb's so I thought I'd just get a few sets of the exact same type. BUT, I seemed to remember someone here saying they're harsh on frets. Was it ghs that this was true for or am I thinking of something else? Maybe I'd be better off getting some ddarios if that's the case.

Q for VP's
I am interseted in the Bailey system for fretless bass. I want to install it in a 2000 Fender Jazz fretless bass w/ passive pups.
1. Is this compatible w/ passive setup, or do I need active?

Are new Epi's getting better?
I was at a local store and picked up a brand new Epi Standard LP.... it weighed a ton and just felt like the real deal..... I had to look at the price tag as i thought maybe it was one of those new epis elite things that are claiming to be almost USA Quality... But no it was just a cheap Epi LP Standard... It looked like my 2002 Epi lp that is a piece of junk! MY Epi LP Standard just plain sucks but i only paid a few Hunderd for it as it had been damaged.. MY Epi weighs nothing... Pick it up and it feels like it's made of Basswood... This new Epi at the store weighs in a good heavy weight and the sound is much better and the electronics where quieter then my epi...

What's the ONE Marshall that Gives You the Most VIBE?
I can't seem to find it on any newer production model. That includes the plexi reissues. Where should I look now?

Graphtech Saddles
I have a Yamaha Pacifica and I'm thinking of spending some money upgrading the nut and the saddles. I've heard what difference these parts can make to a guitar, but how much do they improve the tone? I'm not going to bother upgrading if the only advantage is less string breakage. Please help me out, Graphtech users, and talks to me about the improvements in tone!

Speaker with most character before distortion
I'm still struggling with myself to figure out which speaker i would be happiest with, so instead of going loud or ultra high efficiency, which speaker would have the most character in its tone before distortion?

JB
so yesterday i put a JB in my gibson explorer, but i had to wait till today to make a final judgement cause i did it late last night and i really wanted to give it the crank test. the results? damn! its one hell of a pickup. im not sure if i like it better than my DD thats in another guitar, but theyre pretty damn different anyway. i still prefer the tight low end chugging rhythm tone of the DD, but the first the i noticed about the JB was the lead tone. holy ****! its definately the most searing kickass lead tone ive ever gotten. love it. its rhythm tone is still awesome, but i dont think ill ever find a rhythm tone i like better than what comes outta the DD. the JB is a little more smooth too, and i guess i prefer the chunky palm mute sound of the DD. but while i prefer the bottom end tightness of the DD, the mids of JB dominate- theyre so much more usable than the mids of the DD. sometimes the DD sounds like its got so much mids, and because of the texture or whatever of them, theyre kinda too crispy or something, just not really what i want. but the JB, while it certainly has a lotta mids in there, has a lot more smoothness to the mids that dont really make it as chunky sounding, but just sounds better as a mid frequency overall. the JB also has damn good harmonics. not astonishingly more than the DD, but enough that you can tell. PH's scream just a bit more with the JB i think. and, i havent noticed any quot;ice-pickinessquot; like some people say about the JB. i really like its high end actually. and im pretty sure my explorer came with 500k pots (ok im not positive, but its a good guess). in a lighter bodied and different wooded guitar it could be too bright, but it sounds great in a giant peice of mahogany like the explorer. overall, a great pickup and im really happy with it. oh and one more thing i noticed- i now have all my main genres covered with guitars/tone. the explorer (w/ JB) is perfect for NWOBHM and classic metal stuff like maiden, priest, etc. the ex-351 (DD/'59) is perfect for more thrash kinda stuff like Metallica, megadeth (even though dave mustaine uses JB's, i get a much better megadeth tone with the DD), slayer, etc. because of the tighter bottom end and more aggressiveness of the DD. and my viper is perfect for the stoner rock/southern metal stuff like down, COC, etc. cause its got even more low end and a bit less mids, but still has really good clarity and handles downtuning like none other. so im a happy man. but this also shows that i really dont have much use for the invader thats in my bc rich, so im thinking of getting rid of it and putting in an EMG 81. as my only trem-equipped guitar and with its raw maple neck, itd be great for leads with an 81 in there.
