I'm trying to decide what pickups to put in my Ibanez S470. It has a thin mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. IT has an
H-S-H pickup route. My amp is a Fender Blues DeVille. I'm looking for the tone to be somthing like TSO, Iron Maiden, and Dream Theatre.

I was going thru my closet the other day and i have bunch of roughed out bodies and necks stacked up in there...... 5 years ago i was really into making my own guitars but have since slowed right down as it was a lot of work! I started too many guitars at once. But while going thru some of the wood pieces i found a Mahogany neck blank that i was going to use for an SG i was making.... Saddly i made a big mistake and ended up cutting the headstock too short for a Gibson style headstock... But looking at it last night i can make a smaller stlye headstock.... something of my own Design... I was thinking someing based on the Godin LGX headstock.. It will just fit.. I was also maybe thinking of making this neck a 24 fret neck for my Jackson strat i like so much.. But then i started thinking of the SG body i have partly made....

For various reaons, none of them very good, I want to try to remove the 4-conductor wiring from one pickup (let's call it Pup quot;Aquot;) and attach the 4 conductors to Pup quot;Bquot;. quot;Aquot; is a Duncan Design humbucker, quot;Bquot; is an old Distortion humbucker. I'm removing the original 4-conductor wiring from Pup quot;Bquot;.

I’m thinking about turning a Tele into a Tele Custom or possibly a Tele Deluxe.

My new toy will be getting some mods and I can't seem to find locking Kluson style tuners in lefty!

I currently have 2 2x12 fender loudspeakers in my blues deville. The guy i bought it from had celestions in it and told me it sounded great. The amp already sounds good but i wanna see its full potential. I wouldn't like to spend more than 100. Are Jensens better than celestion? thanks, i heard hendrix used jensens.

O.K. guys i need a pickup for my HAMER chaparral all mahogany strat body single humbucker . with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard , with an original floyd rose bridge. i am using this guitar for hard rock / bluesy rock stuff i am looking for a john sykes kinda tone big/fat/thick/harmonics/sustain . thanks now vote away !!!!!!! later scott
