Was looking for a hum for the bridge of my strat. They had a used hotrails for the neck and told me it was fine for the bridge just less ouput. This was from the music store I frequent, I put it in seems okay not as hot as I thought. Would there be much differance between the bridge and neck model?

Is Ash brighter sounding than Alder
I`ve got a ash bodied Strat and a alder bodied Strat . The ash bodied is natural with a clear finish and the alder bodied is the Highway 1 satin type finish , both have maple necks. The ash bodied with a Blues Trembucker sounds brighter than alder bodied with a 59b. They were played under medium gain with the same rig with the settings the same on the amp(Trademark 10 and 2x12 cab with Celestion Greenbacks). I was thinking the 59 would have sounded brighter than the Blues Trembucker but it was the other way around. Which leads to my question , is brighter sounding than alder?

Air Norton SUCKS
I have an air norton neck humbucker in my american schecter and it seriously sounds like my bridge pickup, a tone pro humbucker, with the tone knob turned absolutely down. This pickup is practically useless unless I want to try to communicate with my dog or something. What can i do to liven it up or what should I replace it with? Evolution, 57, burstbucker, EMG 85? What guys? think neck humbucker shred-bright-single coil sound. Any ideas, masters of tone?

Can you rout a single to humbucker?
Is it possible to take a SSH guitar without a pickguard, specifically an Ibanez SA model, and rout the neck position to fit a full size humbucker. But do it in a way that a traditional mounting ring could be used, and no one would of known the difference? i would have a professional do it of course, but I was wondering if it could be done.

What do yall think of my acoustic??
I had this guitar handmade here in North Georgia for me. I have had the guitar since October of 04, but have just gotten around to posting. I have really never gotten into acoustics just because I had never really owned or played one that sounded the way I thought it should so it was really hard to be inspired to write acoustic stuff. That all changed when I met Allen from Baruke Guitars and played a few of his handmade guitars. The one I fell in love with was his personal acoustic. I immediately knew that if I had a guitar like that I would be able to be more creative on the acoustic. This guitar is so responsive and has such a big sound I can't hardly put it down. The craftsmanship is out of this world since Allen does everything by hand himself from start to finish. It was really cool to be able to basically build my look and sound with this guitar. Can you tell by the fret markers that I like Gretsch too?
