Was looking for a hum for the bridge of my strat. They had a used hotrails for the neck and told me it was fine for the bridge just less ouput. This was from the music store I frequent, I put it in seems okay not as hot as I thought. Would there be much differance between the bridge and neck model?
Thanks

On a Hot Rails, the difference is pretty significant. 10.8k vs 16.9k. On a Cool Rails the difference isn't quite so drastic: 9.4k vs 10.3k. However, I didn't like a bridge Cool Rails in the neck position at all. That same CR is one of my favorite pups, mounted in the bridge, where it belongs. YMMV.
You just have to try it and see.
Just wanted to let you guys know that the neck in the bridge smokes. Very clear articulate and matches with stock PUs very well. Fired it up though my Boogie this morning and wow my ears are still ringing. Great rythm and lead tone. Couldn't be happier.

A Neck hotrails will be brighter, quot;clearerquot;, and not quite as hot
Come to think of it, it´s interesting that I haven´t tried that myself...then again, I´m more of a quot;bridge pickup in the neck slotquot; guy
