With Jacksons, the metallica black has a metallic hue to it, and isn't available on imports IIRC. The pearl looks freakin awesome, as well. Not as boring as plain 'black'
Satin black is kind of 'sanded' feeling, very smooth, looks sort of dull.
Black pearl, like Jacksons black pearl, has little bits of something in it that makes it shine, it looks really cool. Weathered black is just a worn looking black finish.
I can't answer the other ones, but try to find pics of them all online!
Metallics have additives that look like there is metal dust in the paint,as you turn the piece you'll see it glint.
Pearls are similar to metallics with the glint but have a softer sheen,(high quality paints and old finishes have pearl dust in them - BTW anyone who has pearl dust I will buy it from you)
As for the different blacks it just different tones and depths to the colour
Candy's are also cool, they are paints with an additive that give the colour a lustre like polished hard candy.
If you want post your address and I'll mail you off a flyer from the paint that I use a lot, also check out House of Kolor, they specialize in candies, metallics and pearls.
what JJ said. The different hues of black (midnight black, jet black) have different levels of colors in them that give them a black color, but also hints of different colors. Midnight black, for instance also has a very low purple/blue hue. to it. There a color called Crimson black. It's basically black with a red tint to it. It's those little things like that where the name comes from.
Hmmmmm....looks like somebody really likes the color black on their guitars.

Or is trying to get away from it, but not too far
jackson soloist metallic blackJackson dinky mg black
so.......wtf???!!!
btw i love black finishes ....from plain black to transparent black...but i dunno which ones look better....and after seeing this pics...it ain´t better than before :P
You've really got to hold them up to the light yourself, pics usually don't catch the sheen.

yeah, but the problem is that holding the usa soloist will worth about 2000 € and 6 months...and if i don´t like the finish i can´t send the guitar back...thats the thing...i´ll have to find any black jackson on stores and ask if she is plain black or metallic black...
btw the quality of the finish depends also of the price you pay for the guitar? i mean...the black or metallic black on a jackson js series has the same quality (if it´s the case of a black finish being bad or good quality) than the same on a usa sl2h?
PD- thats an awesome finish, Deadskinslayer
Look at the pic of the metalic black Jackson, it looks a little pixel-y, like the computer wasnt able to finish refining the pic, but that's not pixels, that's the little metal flakes in the finish. You'll know the difference when you see them in person. It's not like you're comparing jet black with stealth jet black. You're comparing a flat color to a color with friggin glitter in it.

my monitor is not as good as i thougth...i saw the pics on a friend's tft and i can see the quot;grainquot; or the dust on the finish...mmm looks great...anyways i have to see that finish on a real guitar in front of my eyes...
hey thanks a lot guys...have a nice weekend...see ya
I love that Model of Schecter, not crazy about the inlays.
This metallic red on my platinum is unbelieveble.
It turns like 8 different shades of red and looks like a jewel in sunlight.
I believe it has gold flake.
