hey guys ive been wanting to see the difference between putting pedals in front of the amp and then comparing it with the effects loop

do devilles have them? i know they have the power in and pre amp inputs...

im just really getting savvy on tube amps since

Pre-out and power-in sockets at the back of an amp ARE the effects loop, basically. They're not really worth it unless you're gonna be using the amp's own overdrive; so if you use overdrive / distortion pedals all the time, you're probably as well just hooking everything into the 'line in' at the front like you normally would. Having said that, play about with stuff first and see what you like the sound of.

I think it is almost always right to put everything infront of the amp.
