I found out from the luthier today that he's going to cut the neck and body this week, and that he'll get the body out to be clear coated and the neck to his fret man by this weekend. They should be back to him by the following weekend, and ready to ship out to me to assemble the rest. That's great news, as I had expected a mid-June delivery as opposed to May.

Anyone know what gauge strings Rammstein's guitarist uses?

I was at a Sam Ash yesterday and I plugged a 72 tele custom into a Fender Blues Jr. to mess around for a little while...the amp sounded great. It was small (the catalogue said 22 watts but the site says 15?) and it could get some good overdriven Fender sounds at a really chill volume. Since I mostly play at home anyway, and my Bassman is too loud to use its tube overdrive, I'm thinking of a trade...

Well, I thoughtmy Nashville Tele was done. Vintage '54/Tex-Mex Strat/Mini-HB. I have it wired with 2 volumes - the normal one for the bridge and/or middle, adn the ex-tone pot for the neck HB volume. I made two discoveries:

The flash makes it look a lot lighter than it really is. Pretty dark overall.
Man, Scott, that thing looks awsome. They've got one here at my local shop. i'm not sure if it's as old though. I got to play it once, but it's not that great playing. It's got a warped belly like crazy, and I'm guessing that because of that the tone wasnt all that great. It is a really really dark brown though.

Can you use a multimeter to fine tune pickup height? Has anyone actually done this?
