E.V.H. / '78 Request
I'm after clips of the '78 Bridge, perferably in some sort of overdriven marshall. I'd really like to hear what the harmonics sound like (evenly voiced? lol)

look at what fedex dropped off today
well it came today, my new amp. It sounds so thick and rich with humbuckers and with single coils, but i can still get my teles to twang with the best of them. It has great sustain and is really loud even for a 32 watt amp. when the kt66's get good and hot and the volume is cranked up it just sings. the distortion is like a great big milkshake thick and creamy but you can pick out all the flavors. it is very articulate for such a rich sounding amp. the cleans are just a little less bright than a fender amp but none of the definition is gone. Dr. Z is an amazing builder.

Pickups for a 57 Re-Issue Gold Top
I am looking to replace the BB's in my 57 Re-Issue but I am a little worried about making a bad decision. I originally wanted a great 70'searly 80's sound with some bite (think High amp; Dry era Def Leppard) and I was going to get a pair of Dimarzio SD's but I am wondering if the Custom might fit the bill as well. I am looking for a slight bump in output but nothing crazy, something around 10k-12K resistance would be ideal. I will add that this is a dark sounding Les Paul with the original BB pickups so I am concerned with not making it any darker. Does/has anyone here use a Dimarzio SD in a Les Paul? If so is it dark or bright sounding? I had one in a Gibson V that was bright but I have also played Explorers with one in them and they were dark. Would the Custom give a classic 70's sound without getting to dark or should I be looking at a different Duncan for the sound I am looking for? Thanks in advance for your help.

Tune-o-matic shimming
I was pondering today, and I was wondering where exactly you could get replacement saddle for a tune-o-matic bridge to shim the radius to say 18quot; instead of the average 12quot;?

another help-I-need-amp-advice thread
I currently have a marshall MG100 dfx but I 'm not satisfied anymore with the tone so I am planning on buying a new amp. I 'm looking for a half stack between 50W and 100W. I mainly play rock/metal, metallica, maiden, guns n' roses....
I have about 700$ maybe I can stretch it to 800$

I want to get a natural colored les paul but i'm not sure if the different woods will make some sort of difference in tone/sustain. Does anyone know?
