...which went well, although that tape is pretty messy. However, one thing I didn't know, is that when you put it all back together, string up the guitar, and any combination of the CC and APH2 sounds like it may be 'out of phase', with a weak thin, hollow sound, about 1/4 the output of either hb alone. I am guessing this is the problem, because nothing else has changed- just a magnet flip.

Bridge/ Neck full size HB's for superstrat
Thinking about full size humbuckers for doing a superstrat with an Agile ST802W. Alder body, maple board, wilkinson tremolo. I'll probably start with the stock switch and 500K pots, .047uF tone cap, might eventually install a pull pot for running one or more of the pups in parallel, might convert one of the tones to a spin-a-split on one or two pups. lil 59 which I already have will go in the middle.

Tell me about ENGL
I've heard the name before, so I thought I'd check them out. I went to the website and it seems like they make some cool amps. The price seems okay for some of the lower models, but is the price on the website the price that they sell for? Or MSRP? Anybody have clips? Pics? Where can you buy one online?

Help a brotha out
Guys, my cousin called me up yesterday and asked me what the best way was to power his pedals. I think he's using 5 or 6, and he's getting tired of changing batteries. He also doesn't want to buy six power supplies and bother with pugging them in each time he sets up at a gig. I don't really have much gigging experience and I have even less experience with pedals, so I figured I'd ask y'all. I seem to remember seeing a single power supply with several leads, but I think it was pretty expensive.

Help me find my tone!
Ok. I own a Godin LGT guitar (H-S-S, mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, floating bridge) which I play through a Peavey Classic 50 and play a wide variety of music (pretty much everything except for jazz and country). I've had a JB in the bridge of this guitar for many years and there where things I loved about this pickup and things I disliked. The main reason I decided to switch was that I could never get rid of that upper-midrange quot;honkquot; and while it had great definition, it lacked a certain fullness and warmth in the lower-mid frequencies for rhythm playing.

Need a good practice amp.
I'm going to be purchasing a JSX head in a few months because of the reviews I've read on this forum, other forums, and the fact that I really enjoyed the sound of the XXX and would really like the added versatility that the crunch channel from the JSX would provide as opposed to just being a quot;metalquot; amp. I'm currently running my Spider through a cab and carrying it home and using it as a practice amp. However, I'd really like to downsize to something easier to move around to practice with two side-projects I'm currently working with that are at the moment just me and one other guitarist. SS or Tube doesn't really matter. Just as long as it's cheap and has a relatively good sound. Doesn't have to have as many functions as the Spider's do but I would like to be able to get a good distortion and clean sound out of it. Would you guys think downsizing to a smaller Spider would be the best option? They are pretty cheap or are there better options out there. Anything under 300-500 dollars would be great. I just really need something smaller that will be easier to lug around.

Peavey Classic 30 owners... any good mods?
I'm posting this thread because my singer/guitarist uses a Peavey Classic 30 and he's pretty unhappy with the tone (me as well ). It's all stock from what I understand. I've heard about speaker upgrades helping, perhaps a Celestion G12H30? Is there anything else I should be looking into for him? If it costs too much to get it to sound really good, he'll just have to save up for a much better amp (which he is prepared for).

Gerlitz Guitar Honey
I bought some quot;Gerlitz Guitar Honeyquot; a week back and it arrived in the mail yesterday. Man is this stuff awesome. I cleaned my fretboard last night and applied it, and it looks brand new. Here is their site, with a better description of what it actually does:
