I bought a used guitar and the guy gave me an extra pickup. It is a humbucker and it doesn't say on the front, just the back on the metal plate. And theres a little sticker that says APH1NL. Can you guys figure out what model it is? Is there any other info I can give to help?

I am quite pleased with my Strat now, only thing left is perhaps getting a Wilkinson trem for it.
Using one of my HDB's, a slighty rebuild MK1, added mids and now the tonecontrol can go from TS-style to a normal opensounding CM od sound.

Okay this may or may not be a dumb question, but......I was looking around the net for some speaker cables and came across these Speakon cables? What exactly are they?
I'm looking for a speaker cable that I can use like an extension, i.e. connect the 1/4 plug from speakers in a combo into the cable and have the other end of the cable be a 1/4quot; to plug into an amp, etc....

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a pedal that can get me good metal distortion. Something really heavy that can handle Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer tones. I've tried a few that didn't quite cut it. I felt the Boss Turbo Distortion and Metal Zone were too harsh. The Tech 21 GT2 sounded good but was quite noisy. Some of the pedals I've been looking at but haven't tried are the Boss Mega Distortion, Digitech Hot Rod Distortion and Ibanez Smash Box. Any recommendations?

Thin neck pickup will be going into an RG, basswood body for metal and hard rock styles. What differences can I expect from these two?

hey, i was just wonderin' what exactly (i.e. technical terms) happens when you screw in or out the screws? what is the normal height with them? i see most ppl have there pretty much flush witht he plastic. Since i use GHS ZW strings, the low E is a bass string so i tend to pull out the screw some to loose all the bass i get from it. is this ok? what if i took it out so that the whole screw head was just out of the hole??

Hi guys, for some impulsive reason i picked up a boss dd-6 delay pedal. Its pretty, might take osme itme ot figure out settings i like. How about you guys? who uses a delay pedal? If you happent o use the dd-6 digital delay pedal what settings do you use and for what effects? Right now seeing as i just got home ive only figured out that it sounds pretty good doubling your guitars. Oh one mre thing does this happen to anyone else, when the regeneration is at max it really feeds back BADLY!
