Okay this may or may not be a dumb question, but......I was looking around the net for some speaker cables and came across these Speakon cables? What exactly are they?
I'm looking for a speaker cable that I can use like an extension, i.e. connect the 1/4 plug from speakers in a combo into the cable and have the other end of the cable be a 1/4quot; to plug into an amp, etc....
would a speakon -1/4quot; speaker cable do this......

Nope. Speakon is a totally different connector that is not compatible with 1/4quot; stuff (without an adaptor). It's mainly used in PA stuff.

thanks man....It's weird I've never seen one before...I've only seen 1/4quot; or XLR when dealing with PA stuff...
