has anyone finished/refinished a guitar using reranch's sherwood green?
i just got my can in the mail, but i'm wondering how it's going to turn out (i've still got some prepwork to do before i start spraying).
there's only one example of this color on reranch's site, but i'd love to see some more examples.
well, there are examples in some of the strat books

derr...why didn't i think of searching for sherwood green on google for examples?
i guess i forgot it was an old fender color, not a reranch exclusive.
thanks for sparking my memory.
anwyay, i'm turning an ibanez roadstar body into a 12 string. right now i'm filling in the trem cavity and doing some routing. soon i'll be priming and finishing it in sherwood green. i'll post pics of the finished product if anyone's interested.
That's always been one of my favorite strat colors. Just mist it lightly, a little at a time.....nothing worse than dealing with a finish that's running or dripping. It should turn out great if you're patient and careful.
after googling sherwood green, i found a few different strats in that particular color.
i couple of them had a really nice, deep, dark green color (they were both vintage). the other one (a reissue) had a lighter color that i didn't like too much (it was closer to the example on the reranch site).
based on this, i'm assuming the color deepens with age. this sucks because i want the darker green now, dammit.
i guess i'll just have to wait and see how mine turns out.
