It has a great dark sound, a loud in your face output and killer metal tones!

I went back and forth between those two for like a year, trying to decide which I prefer. What one lacks, the other has in abundance. Check out a Distortion sometime, it's kind of a good compromise between the two (and a killer pup overall).

In the right guitar (preferably one that naturally sounds a little thin), it's a winner.

Nah. It's quot;too much2 - I prefer subtler tones myself.

I love it in Alder. It's very thick sounding and can do anything from rock all the way past the gates of death metal. Don't use it for blues though

It's amazing. Totally powerful, balls-to-the-wall sound. The only downside? It's a tad harder to get pinch harmonics on the lower three strings, but if I got rid of my Zakk Wylde set and got a regular 10-52, it might be easier.

What about in a carved-top ash body? I'm thinking of either getting a distortion or an invader (distortion in neck, definetely)...so either SH6n SH6b or SH6n SH8b...yeah

the invader is the greatests one for thrash metal if you gonna play rythms but for soloes i prefere the DD .
i didnt like the invader on soloes or on the high srtings its totaly poor one.

wat bout invader for bridge and jazz for neck. and u use the invader for rythm and jazz for solo? will the the jazz then still thrash during soloes?
