I tried to import web data from excel, which basically a very great function.
However, once the original data format is like 12-2, 3-10, etc, excel will
automatically covert it to dates to Dec-2, Mar-10 on spreadsheet.
(an example: try import the NBA standing table from www.nba.com via
quot;Data-Import External Data-New web queryquot;)
Is there anyways to turn off this coversion before importing data? or any
other ways to work around?
Thanks a lot.Cokeat
Datagt;Import External Datagt;New Web Query.
Type or paste in the URL www.nba.com
That site will open and give you yellow arrows to select what you
want.
Click on the Options button and checkmark Formattinggt;None Importlt;PREgt;
blocks into columns and........... Disable Date Recognition.........
