By using the drawing toolbar (or another way if needed), how can I make
a circle that has a verticle line running from the top to the bottom,
cutting the circle in half, and then just shading the left, or right
half of the circle. Everytime I try to shade, it just shades the whole
circle, going over my line to seperate it into halfs. What I'm trying
to make is what looks like a contrast circle where the left half is
white, and the right half is black.
Thanks abunch for your help.--

I think you will have to draw two 180 degree arcs then abut their
straight edges to form a circle that can be black on one side and white
on the other.
A bit of a fiddle with the yellow adjustment handles.

Ken JohnsonHi,

Here's one way, not exactly swift but effective.

Put 1 in both cells A1 and A2. Select and use the chart wizard to create
a pie chart. Format slices to be black and white as required. Size chart
to suit. Set the Area fill for both plotarea and chartarea to none.
You now need to select the chart as an object, best to click a cell then
with the shift key held click the chart. You should get white grab
handles around the chart instead of the normal black.
Again with the shift key held use the menus Edit gt; Copy Picture. Choose
the Picture as shown on screen. Now paste the picture. Finally ungroup
the picture to get 2 half slices.

Cheers
Andy
