What's a good overdrive or distortion to use with a strat.
Bone stock single coils but sometimes the tube screamer takes away the quot;tubequot; sound (modded TS7, sounds great for leads). I have a Carl Martin plexitone that sounds ungodly with humbuckers but single coils are tubby, rolly, anything you can say to describe horrible. Also have a Marshall Supa Fuzz but that's cool if I'm gonna do like some wacked out Hendrix or American Woman.

FS: Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller
It is in almost new condition. I bought it a couple months ago and haven't taken it out of my room yet. I used it to control my PODxt going into a power amp, but I sold my power amp and am now migrating to a head instead. I still have the original box and everything. I also have a 12 foot Monster MIDI cable and this MIDI gt; USB cable, which is awesome because you can create patches on your computer and then transfer them over to the FCB1010.

The Jeff Beck signature bend?
I noticed a sort of signature move JB does in quot;Cause We Ended As Loversquot; (probably other songs as well) where he seems to pick and pull off a whole step above a given note, then bend that note up a whole step in rapid succession. When I do it, I pull off with my ring finger and bend up with only my index finger...is this correct or is there a different way? I ask because sometimes it's hard to get leverage with just one finger.

best guitar for the money in the 1000 dollar range
Hi there, a friend of mine(who I happen to make a lot of music with) is looking for a new guitar to upgrade his absolute pos squire. h-h configuration with a coil split seems like it would suit him best since he wants to quot;a beefy sounding guitar with singing leadsquot; and I think it would be best if it came stock with nice pickups too since he doesn't seem the type to try and replace em(he never even gave his fender a proper set up). I pointed him toward stuff like jackson soloists and esp but you guys can probably give a better opinion than I can. He plays everything from classic rock(with me) to a very ecclectic style of metal. You can hear one of his clips here:

Effects Placement Nightmare: Please Help
Hello All,
Currently my pedal setup consists of an MXR Super Comp, Toadworks Death Rattle, Homebrew Power Screamer, Boss CE-2, Bespeco Volume Pedal (VM-12 I think is the model). I'm also using a Zoom 505 multi Effects for a tuner. I've also just bought an Electro-Harmonix (Octiplexer? basically an octave pedal. Can't remember what it's called. I think it's an Octiplexer. The grey one with three knobs on anyway).
