thats my first post here, so hello to you all!

Hey guys, does anyone have any reccomendations to get that great Floyd tone? I've seen Gilmour's rig diagram and so I was wondering what other's recommend in terms of trying to that tone. Everyone says start off with the EMG DG pickups and mid boost, and others say vintage sounding pickups are fine. Any other thoughts? Amps? Pedals?

So this really has been bothering me. Some guitars are more than the sum of their parts. This is usually the case with Fenders. That's not to say it isn't the case with LP's SG's 335's, and PRS' but they all start off using premium woods and parts.

How loud should I play, and how long should it take? Thanks

hey, need some recording equipment advice.....

I've got a strat with a humbucker in the bridge and two Dimarzio HS-2's (neck, mid). I wanted to try an Alnico II Pro Humbucker in the bridge. Being that the APH-1 has a D.C. Resistance of 7.85k, and the HS-2's read at 14.97K, will the neck and middle pickups be louder than the bridge pickup? From what I've read the HS-2's are considered to have a fairly moderate output (90mV) even though the D.C. Resistance reads high. Does anyone know what the ouput reading on an APH-1 is?
