As directed, I read the Qs and As. All six hundred. An incredible wealth of information but I would like to look at the original Fender and Music Man bass pu patent drawings and haven't been able to find any. Using the few patents Seymour listed, I have been searching the quot;References Citedquot; to go back earlier patents but none has lead me to the originals. I'm also interested in Bartolini bass pu patents but can't find any. Any ideas?

who is fam with the Gibson 498T/490R combo
Years and years ago, I believe this combo was in a Les Paul Std, and maybe a Custom I had...but I don't remember much other than them being creamy compared to a raw crunchy sound...

FS: Gamp;L Skyhawk
Up for sale is a Gamp;L Skyhawk!
It is a pretty uncommon early 80's Gamp;L and one of the first designs Leo Fender created after he sold the Fender company. He took the original Fender strat design and tried to tweak the looks on it. It never caught on and people wanted a more traditional strat so it got canned for the series now known as the Legacy. This guitar, like the famous S-500, has a mahogany body (as Sprinter pointed out, other woods were available at the time) and a maple neck. This guitar was finished naturally and the only Skyhawks I’ve seen around on eBay have black bodies. Pictures of this beast can be found here: from : localhost/photobucket.com/albums/v298/t...20L Skyhawk/

Gold Hardware
Anyone know where to get gold screws for a 5 way strat switch, and gold pickup mounting screws? I ordered the Callaham complete set up, but these items are apparently not included. I've e-mailed Callaham to see if they carry them...but figured some of you would know off the top of your heads!

Neck Pickup Choosing
I'm thinking about getting single coil neck pickup changed.Guitar is all maple except rosewood fb.I want it to be sort of like Full Shred (needs to stay focused under high gain, tight bass...etc.),but it needs to sing when rolled off or in low-gain situation.Dimarzio's HS-2 or HS-3 comes to mind.Is there Duncan alternative?
