alot of poeple like to crank tubes, and I understand that but does the same go for a solid state?

Hi, which is best out of these 2 amps in your opinions?

i cant figure out what happened. my bad horsie II just died on me. when i step on it, it just mutes the sound, even though the light that shows its working is on. its been actin a little strange lately, makin some popping noises when ive played it through my rectoverb. anyone have any ideas what it could be? i've had it for about a year.

I've heard alot about them, but I really dont understand how to do them. If anyone could help that would be great.

If i take the middle pup and mount it next to the the bridge will it sound like a double if its wired in series? I notice that if i put the neck and bridge together the magnets repel. The middle and neck atract, and the middle and bridge atract so this makes them like one single magnet right?

how can you tell the difference between the SD Musicman alinco and ceramic pickups? I want to buy another 4-string pickup like one I already have in a Stingray but I am not sure which one I have in there, I know it had orange/white/black wires? but is there a way to tell them apart by just looking at the pickup?
