What's the story with them? I see them going off on eBay for stupid money now and again. What's the hubbub about with the and the difference between the black label and green label ones?

hums!
Hi guys, I replaced the bridge PU with a tb59 on a guitar with 2 hums, 1 vol, 1 tone and a 3way switch. I had an out of phse condition which I resolved earlier, but the switch and pots were very noisy. I had problems with cheap switch and pots so I shop around and bought a CRL switch and new pots. Re wired the whole thing at the same time. The switching is ok now but when I plug the guitar I have a hum in the background that worsen when I touch/move the wire from the jack tip that goes to the middle terminal of the volume pot. It worsen when I touch at the pot's end. Could the new pot be defective? I recheck my wiring according to your diagram and everything looks fine.

Full Shred Pickups in My guitar
Hey, I have a ESP LTD DELUXE M-1000 from : localhost/(Its down a little bit) and I am seriously wanting to put some SD pickups in them. My music style im looking for is Early Megadeth and Iron maiden and most of that heavy metal/thrash thing. I have a JB and a Jazz in my one strat and a DiMarzio Super Distortion and PAF in my other strat. I want to put a Full Shred in the bridge and from some of the reviews ive been reading putting one in the neck isnt that bad either? Now my question is DO YOU GUYS think it will make a good combination with my ESP? I really like how My super D is more trebly and a tid bit brighter than the JB. But I want a little more...quot;punch/chunk?quot;... I guess are the terms. The guitar has a maple body neck-thru, if that helps.

Greetings! And a question
Hey Everyone,
I'm new in this forum, been a member of MX's guitar forum for over a year now though. Been browsing around here for a few days, and figured i could further my knowledge on pickups immensely by hanging around you people. The main reason, however, that i came here is that on MX we're divided on an issue about pickup covers. The issue is whether or not the presence of a pickup cover slighty reduces the amount of output by the pickup. Even though the effect may be miniscule is it there? Or do covers not affect the tone of the pickup AT ALL. If someone could clarify that, that would be great. Another question (sorry about the length of this post) The reason this debate on MX occurred was because i was planning on swapping out the pickups in my Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus for a set of SD's. The debate came out of this discussion and i havn't had any good opinions on what i should put in my guitar (and whether or not to have covers). I play hard rock music, heavy distortion, big bottom end, yet i still want a pickup that maintains clarity and tightness on the low chords (think Sum 41 - Chuck). What do you guys think would be the best combination for my les paul. Thanx for reading this long post, and thank you in advance for any replies.
