We let the band before us use my Peavey Bandit last night and they somehow managed to blow the speaker! They were playing clean, but it turns out had turned the volume up to 8 with no speaker cab attached, and apparently the speaker didn't like that!

I recently purchased 2 Duncan 59's (neck and bridge) to put in my Hamer Echotone 335 copy. I played with them last night for the first time and while I got the clarity I was after, the bridge just seemed to lack the ability to drive my amp harder (little more overdrive) than the stock pickup. (Or my PRS for that matter). I am thinking of taking up the quot;trade upquot; policy and getting a replacment for the bridge pickup. I really like the overall tone of the 59...but just need a bit more power and drive out of it. My amp is a Marshall JCM 800 2205 if it matters. I try to keep the gain about 1/2 as it gets noisy otherwise.

I've been practicing quite a bit since I posted here last and was wondering how you folks would like the latest tune I just finished this morning.

Have you ever wanted things you KNOW you don't need, nor will you have any proper use for it?

What does the Dun-aged magnet process (as used in Antiquities) do to the sound of a pickup?

So I’ve got a set of Fender Fat 50’s on my 50’s RI MIM Strat. They sound good, dare I say even great -- but I want some more oomph from neck and bridge. I’m serious, the Fat 50’s really do sound great, and in terms of low-mid punch, I think the neck and bridge sound as good as Strat single coils can and still be 6.3-6.4k.

The headstock broke off of my BC Rich mockingbird back in december. I've been looking for replacement necks, but the only place i know of is warmoth. Does anyone know anywhere else on the internet that sells necks?

Hey guys, I stopped at the new Guitar Center today to pick up a glass slide...seeing as how the salesman said quot;I've been playing for a few months, so I know what I'm talking about,quot; a slide was all I bought from him.

Anybody tried em or heard of em? They sound pretty sweet.
