What does the Dun-aged magnet process (as used in Antiquities) do to the sound of a pickup?
Dun-Aging is the process by which Seymour partially de-magnetizes the magnets to simulate what naturally happens to a pickup over 40 or 50 years. The result is generally a smoother tone (to my ears anyway). Also, because the magnets are weekened, the overall output of the pickup is a bit lower.
