Someone please tell me about this item, and how much it costs, where to get it, and is it hard to install. Im converting my strat back to 3 single coils, and since I've always thought bridge singles were harsh, I wondered if the blender pot would help in rolling off the harshness/shrillness of a bridge single coil..Help!

I'm sure Lew carries 'em, since he likes using the blender pot.

I use stock wiring with a jumperto roll of some highs on the bridge, but the blender gives you more options

I'm using the lindy blender in my highway 1 strat. I hooked it up separating my bridge and neck pickups, so I can have both on at the same time. This, together with a series/parallel switch for neck/mid gives me 9 switching combinations with 3 single coils. Its a really good modification. Neck and bridge has a tele-like sound.

It's basically a 250K that has been modified so that when it is turned to quot;10quot; it is disconnected from the circuit. When it is turned down to 8 the neck and bridge pickups start to be blended together and when it's turned all the way down both pickups are fully blended. When the pickup selector switch is set for the enck or neck and middle pickup, turning the blender pot down adds the bridge pickup. When the pickup selector switch is set for the bridge or bridge and middle pickup, turning the blender pot down adds the neck pickup. I use it on all of my three pickup Strats.

I just rewired mine with separate caps for bridge (.0068mf) and neck (.022mf).

The middle pickup tone is affected only when used with one of the other two pickups -- used by itself it has no tone control.

I like the .0068 on the bridge because I only want just a slight, subtle roll-off on the highs when playing the bridge pu by itself, but no roll-off at all when used with middle or neck (or all three) because I want as much cluck as possible in the notch positions.

Maybe a beefier bridge pu is in order, like a Custom Bridge or a Twangbanger or something.
