Here's what I'm finding....The Fender CT does the BF Fender stuff really nice and very close to what a BF Fender should sound like...I own a 66 Pro Reverb, and a 67 Deluxe and the CT nails the tones nicely with the difference being the 2x12s and the cabinet..The CT has a looser overall feel in the clean tones...The CT overall I feel does the whole Fender clean tone thing really well and it's a loud powerfull amp....The CT allows you to rub up with alot of great Fender tones, like the 58,59,60 Tweed Bassmans,Vibrolux,Deluxe,Bandmaster, and even the little champ and Princeton tones..The Princeton tones are really good! I don't have to use an external eq with the CT at all,but I do use a GE-7 in the loop of the Vox to help the Marshall presets out...

Weak Sounding Humbucker to Strat
I have fitted a Pearly Gates Plus to my 2003 standard American Strat , the resulting sound is quite weak and not as powerful as I thought.
I essentially soldered the red amp; white together and wired this as per SD's schematic. The black and green were wired as per SD's schematic aswell.

FS: Yamaha T-50c
This is a 50 watt 2 channel amp designed by mike soldano with 2 6l6s and 7 ax7s with a tube spring reverb unit (this thing can growl against a bogner). EQ, reverb, preamp, master volume for each channel and a shared presence knob. It come with stock celestion speaker. The amp is in good condition. I really like how this amp sounds and it rocks live. But i don't really play live as much anymore and it's too loud for dorm usage. I'm asking for $480 shipped.

power tube replacement?
hey what do i need to know about byasing(i donno how you spell it) power tubes? I really need to change the tubes in my Marshall JCM2000 and i wanna learn how to do it myself. Oh, what kinda tubes would be good... they're EL84's...... I 've decided on Electro harmonix 12AX7's. Yeah, i don't wanna screw anything up. would it be better to get someone to do it for me... i hear it's real simple.
thanks

Building an amp.
I was thinking of building an amp for myself, planning on a fairly simple ciruit like a tweed champ style.
Is it particularly difficult?, one vol, one tone and a couple of tubes shouldn't be too hard right?

BBQ with a 1 meg volume and 500k tone in L.P.Classic
I bought a BBQ and love the pickup but it was too dark. I installed a 1 meg volume from Torres engineering and it helped but was still darker than any Duncans. I then installed a Gibson 500k volume pot on the tone and now its bright enough but lacks the oomph it had witht the 300 gibson tone pot. Is there a difference in volume and tone pots or pots are all the same? Do you think that because the ratings are so high on these pots that it is affecting the tone of the pickups in a bad way? Your thoughts please.
