I play high gain music (think nickelback) and need to know it the sh-4 jb model and the sh-2 jazz model humbuckers are wax potted? I really don't need squealing in the middle of my solo.

Curiousity and GAS
Been thinking about those nice 72 Telecaster Deluxe reissues...the ones with the Strat headstocks and the Les Paul-style pickup and switch configuration. I play 'em in stores and love 'em so I'd say I have bad GAS...

BUZZZZ..please help!
Hey y'all - just bought a JB model humbucker (full size). I also picked up a (separate) Duncan Classic Cover for it. My music store fellows told me that as long as I soldered the cover to the pickup around the bottom that I was good to go. I install it with the (soldered) cover, and it's buzzin', a LOT. I took it apart, and all the ground wires are still intact. Please help - I need this thing to work by Thursday!

Pups for my 335 Combo
I am looking to replace the PUPS on my Ibanez 335 copy. This is my axe I play jazz on, so I need a warm clean neck pup, but I would also like to be able to get some nice classic rock tones from this guitar as well.
I'm kind of interested in a set of PG's but i'm not sure how they'll do for jazz.

Played a McCarty
Wow. Very nice guitar. Went to GC on lunch here in Chicago. (Arlingon Heights actually) I'm trying to decide what guitar I want to get next. Its between an LP Standard Premium Plus, Hamer Monaco Elite, or PRS McCarty. (Oh God, saying that now I want all THREE!!!!!) I played both the LP and McCarty at GC and I dunno. Both were really nice, but maybe I liked the McCarty a bit more. But oh well, good decisions to make! I still have to find a Hamer somewhere in Chicago to play, heh they're hard to find here.

New SD's for My American Standard Strat
Well I just bought a SD AlNiCo II Pro Strat pickup to put in the bridge position of my maple neck American Standard Strat, to use along with a SD SSL-1 in the neck. (I'm putting a North magnetic polarity Fender in the middle for now.) Tell me I'm going to like this setup. My rationale was that the AlNiCo II pickup might be a bit less brittle sounding in the bridge position.

Marshall cab speaker mix
I have a Marshall 1960AV cab equipped with 4 Celestion 70 watt/16 ohm vintage 30s. I have an opportunity to swap two of them for Greenbacks (16 ohm reissues) and was wondering if this was a good idea and how I would configure the speakers. Note that the cab has stereo and mono plugs, so I can use 2 or 4 speakers at a time. I thought that putting the greenbacks on the left and the vintage 30s on the right would provide the best choices: 2 greenbacks or 2 vintage 30s, or all 4 together. Does this makes sense?

Phat Cats or Bluesbucker...
After much consideration about replacing the pickups in my Samick Les Paulette, I have thought about replaceing the crappy humbuckers with P-90s. I mught either go with the Phat Cats or the DiMarzio Bluesbucker. I like the look of the Bluesbucker because it looks like an open-coil humbucker. What are your thoughts?
