I've been looking (unsuccessfully) for the specs to dimebag darrell's orignal dean ML quot;dean from hellquot; guitar. I cannot find the specs anywhere... What I want to know is exactly what specs down to the volume of his volume pot...
If anyone could help me that would be just awesome.

Hey guys. Anyone know exactly the wattage to decibel relations on typical high gain amps? In other words, how much louder is a 100 watt head compared to a 50, and a 150 compared to 100. I know there is no set standard, because some 50 watters are louder than others, but I'm talking in general.

Recenly I saw a video clip where Shawn Lane play on a Charvel model, which I believe is a 750xl. It has two humbuckers, which seems to have no pole-pieces. Anyone who knows what pickups those early Charvels had? Can it be EMGs?

I really do not like the distortion pup as much as the JB in the bridge of a lester.

Well, I've played the living daylights out of my Schecter Damien and am now going to give my overall impression of the EMG HZ's in it. Quite frankly, they don't sound that bad. When playing chords or very fast riffs they stay very clear with my equipment, this can be due to the seemingly very low output of these pickups. I thought EMG's were all high output but these are about as low output as epi stock pickups, but they are voiced much much better. Full chords are clear under distortion and every note can be heard and is equally loud. They do not have a ton of bass response but I'm not a bass thumpy kind of metalhead so it doesn't bother me.
Now the things that just plain suck. These stupid things are void of any harmonics! I couldn't pinch a harmonic out of these things to save my life yet somehow on high strings they are just fine. That could possibly be my technique as I have always been able to get higher frets to squeel much better. The low output I happen to like due to my analness about clarity but I can see how people would hate that. My 2 cents, add to it if you can.
